You can now track bonds in your portfolio too, with coupons, accrued interest and yield to maturity.
In addition to stocks, ETFs, funds, crypto, commodities and cash, you can now also track bonds in DivvyDiary. Our screener lists over 3,300 bonds (e.g. German Bund 2.5% 14/46, E.ON 4.125% 24/44, McDonald's 5.15% 22/52).
📅 Coupons in your calendar: We calculate the interest dates from each bond's terms. Your coupons appear in your Dividend Calendar and flow into all evaluations in the Dividend Tab of your portfolio. For floating rate bonds (floaters), we show the coupon that currently applies.
💶 Nominal and accrued interest: Bonds are quoted as a percent of nominal. That is why you enter the nominal instead of a number of units in your transaction and take the accrued interest from your contract note. We net it against your coupons, so your first coupon does not count in full as income. The CSV import reads the accrued interest as well.
📈 Yield to maturity: On every bond page you see the yield to maturity alongside the coupon and the current yield, plus the issuer, the maturity date and the coupon history. The total return includes accrued interest at purchase and at the end.
⚠️ Payment status: If an issuer no longer pays as agreed, you see it right next to the bond's name. For "Defaulted", for example after an insolvency, and for "Coupons suspended", we no longer show upcoming coupons or a yield. "Distressed" marks bonds whose price suggests a default. For those, we hide the yield.
